About Glutool
What is Glutool?
Glutool is a free collection of browser-based utilities for developers, SEO specialists, analysts and everyday users. It includes code formatters, data converters, image and file tools, SEO helpers and security utilities in one consistent interface.
Is Glutool really free?
Yes. Every tool can be used without payment and without creating an account. The site may display advertising to cover running costs.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything runs in your web browser on desktop and mobile. Open a tool page, paste or upload your input and the result appears instantly.
Who is Glutool for?
Developers and QA engineers use the formatters and converters, marketers and SEO specialists use the web tools, and anyone who needs to compress an image, compare text or generate a password can use the rest.
Privacy and Security
Is my data private?
Most tools process your input directly in your browser, so the text or file you work with is not uploaded. A few tools, such as the SEO Checker, Sitemap Generator and Screenshot tool, must contact the website you ask them to analyze. We do not store the content you process. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Can I paste passwords, API keys or confidential data?
We recommend that you do not paste real production secrets, private keys or confidential documents into any online tool. Use sample or redacted data whenever possible.
Do you use cookies?
We use essential storage for preferences such as theme and your cookie choice, and, with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the banner.
Is the encryption tool suitable for protecting important data?
The security tools are intended for learning, debugging and prototyping. For protecting sensitive production data, use vetted libraries and key management services that fit your security requirements.
Using the Tools
Which tools are most useful for developers?
Popular developer tools include the JSON, XML, YAML and SQL formatters, the Regex Tester, Text Compare, JSON to XML, YAML and TypeScript converters, the JWT tool and the UUID generator.
Why does a tool show an error for my input?
Most errors mean the input is not valid for the chosen format, such as a missing comma in JSON or a tab used for YAML indentation. Read the error message, fix the first problem it reports and run the tool again.
Is there a file size limit?
Because processing happens in your browser, the practical limit depends on your device memory. Image tools show their maximum supported file size on the page. Very large files may be slow or fail on low-powered devices.
Can I use the output in commercial projects?
Yes. The output belongs to you. Review it before using it in production, because automated tools can misread unusual input.
SEO and Web Tools
Can I use Glutool for SEO tasks?
Yes. The Sitemap Generator, Robots.txt Generator, Schema Markup Generator, SEO Checker, Google SERP Simulator and Screenshot tool support common technical SEO and web audit workflows.
Will the SEO Checker guarantee better rankings?
No tool can guarantee rankings. The SEO Checker highlights technical and on-page issues so you can fix them, but search results also depend on content quality, links, page experience and competition.
Why does the screenshot look different from the real page?
The Screenshot tool fetches the page HTML and renders it with limited JavaScript, so pages that depend heavily on client-side scripts, fonts or private resources may not look identical.
Support
How do I report a bug or request a new tool?
Send us a message from the Contact page with the tool name, what you expected, what happened and your browser. For tool requests, describe the task and include a sample input and output.
Do you offer an API or bulk processing?
Not at the moment. Glutool is designed for interactive use in the browser.
